V2VPN ("we", "us") provides a VPN service through the V2VPN app. Because a VPN carries all of your network traffic, we hold ourselves to a simple rule: we do not want to know what you do online, so we do not record it. This policy explains what we do collect, why, who else receives it, and what we never do. It applies to the V2VPN app on every platform we publish it for.
We do not monitor, record, store or disclose:
The tunnel forwards your traffic and keeps no record of it. Because we do not keep these records, we cannot hand them over, sell them, or use them ourselves.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise disclose to third parties any of your data for their own purposes, including advertising, profiling, analytics or data-broker resale. We do not use your data for any purpose other than operating, securing, supporting and improving the V2VPN service. The service providers described in Section 5 process data only on our instructions and only for those purposes.
Your installation of the app is associated with an anonymous account identifier. That identifier is your account: it is how we apply your traffic allowance, your subscription and any rewards you have earned. It is not an advertising identifier and not a hardware identifier, and it is not linked to your name, email address or phone number. We never ask you to register with personal details.
To operate the service we process information about your use of the service itself: which server location you connect to, when a session starts and ends, how much data it transferred, connection quality and error information, and the network address your device connects to us from. This is used to apply your traffic allowance, select and maintain servers, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. It describes your use of our service - never the destinations or contents of your traffic.
We process the app version, your device's language and region settings, basic network capability information, and diagnostic data such as crash reports and performance measurements. This is used for compatibility, routing and stability.
If you buy a subscription or a one-off item, the app store you bought it through processes your payment, and we receive confirmation of the purchase and the resulting subscription status so we can activate your plan and restore it on your other devices. We never see or receive your payment card, bank details or app store account password.
The free tier of V2VPN shows ads. The app requests non-personalized ads only: ads are selected from general context rather than from any profile of your past behaviour. The app does not use your device's advertising identifier and does not ask for permission to track you. To deliver an ad and to prevent ad fraud, our advertising provider receives your device's network address and basic device and app information.
Before you use the service, the app shows you a summary of everything in Section 3 and asks you to agree. Analytics and crash reporting stay switched off until you do. Where local law requires separate consent for advertising - including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland - the app asks for it separately, and you can change that choice at any time from the app's privacy options. You can stop all collection at any time by uninstalling the app.
We rely on a small number of providers that process data on our behalf for the purposes described above: Google, for serving non-personalized ads and for crash, performance and aggregate usage diagnostics; the app store you purchased through, for payments and subscription management; providers that help us detect fraud and abuse of the service; and our own server and hosting infrastructure, which operates the VPN network and the account service. These providers are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Our Terms of Service prohibit using V2VPN to attack, disrupt or abuse other systems. We enforce those terms using network-level signals, the connection data described in Section 3, and reports we receive from third parties - never by inspecting, recording or analysing the contents or destinations of your traffic. Where we find abuse we may suspend or terminate the account responsible.
We disclose data only where we are legally compelled to by a valid, binding order, and then only to the minimum extent required. In practice the records described in Section 1 do not exist, so they cannot be produced. Where the law permits, we will tell you about the request.
Account records, subscription state and traffic allowance are kept while your account is active. Connection data is kept only as long as needed for traffic accounting, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, and is then deleted or reduced to aggregate statistics that cannot be traced back to an individual account. Diagnostic data held by our providers is retained according to their published retention periods.
Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted. Your account identifier is stored using the secure storage your device platform provides. We protect the data we hold with commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures against loss, theft and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
You may ask us to confirm what data is associated with your account, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy of your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Contact us at the address below; because accounts are anonymous, please send the request from within the app so that we can match it to your account. Uninstalling the app also ends our ability to associate any future data with you.
V2VPN is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the associated records.
Our servers and service providers operate in a number of countries, so the data described in this policy may be processed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
The app and this site may link to services we do not operate. We have no control over their content or practices and cannot accept responsibility for their privacy policies.
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this policy, change the date at the top, and ask you to review and accept the updated disclosure inside the app.
